that's pretty much all there is to that.

Wow so much has happened to me in the last few months. 2008 is turning out to be a big year for me so far.

So I have been enjoying a lot of artwork, some travel and the anticipation of maybe getting a sweet art job for the summer. Let me start off in order of things:

Been hanging out at the college some more. I don't "technically" have classes, but Julian, the art prof, is allowing me to sit in his classes, allowing me to work on projects and as an added bonus, paint with the nude models that he gets--which makes this kid very happy!

also, my New York trip was a BLAST!!! Man is that city so big. So many things to see and do. I went to three Broadway shows :RENT, Stomp, and a play called "The Seafarer" which had a lot of famous actors like David Morse in them.

And as an added bonus, I literally was sitting about 5 seats away from one of the "Queer as Folk" actors during the play. He plays Micheal's uncle, Vinny, who had aids. I love that show SO much. And I totally got goosebumps when I recognized him, and he saw me. He literally SAW me...no word of a lie.

NY is definitely a place I would love to visit again--maybe live there for a year or 2. Fancy diners/restaurants, riding the subway was fantastic and the buildings! I seriously took a lot of pictures of any building or art piece that intrigued me.

And oh yeah, went to a lot of art museums and art galleries, since that was the whole point of the trip.

And now back at home, and I am applying for this summer art job in Manitoba. It's an artist in residence fellowship where I literally paint landscape and wildlife paintings all summer for this Delta Marshlands company. I live RENT FREE and get paid big bucks doing it. I will also finally have my "alone time", which means I can get away from distractions and focus on working on MY OWN ART PROJECTS. I will have the time to get done all my contest pieces that desperately need to be sent out, paintings I want to get done, and also work a lot on my digital art as well. So I am just waiting for a reply and hopefully I get it.

Also a lot of my friends are moving away, some far away, some just down the block. I will need to focus on finding a place after the summer, so. Lots of changes.

That's it for now, unless I make this into an entirely long journal. And sad news, I realized yesterday, is that my subscription has expired. I need to get a new one very soon.

So here's the scoop:

Been super busy, as usual. Possible fantastic art job that might be happening for me this summer. And as of early Saturday morning (3:30 am to be precise) I will be on a plan going to New York for an art trip through my college.

So many art galleries, art museums, and sites to see. For a whole week.

I traveling!!! I can't wait!!

so I'll be gone for a whole week without computering...DA and what not. Take care of everything for me people while I'm gone--I hopefully will have some art pieces done and some new ones!

YAY some artworks!!!

I'm just writing a new journal to tell you all that I have been working on SO many art pieces and downloading/scanning them into my computer and fixing them up a bit.

let's just say, my eyes are hurting from looking at the computer screen for so long.

Anyways, yeah I'll be submitting some art soon. A lot of them are unfinished mind you, so don't hold your breath. I just want to show you how many projects I have going.

I can't wait for you fines people to check them out, so look out for them in the next day or two.


And ps. Just a question: Where is the button/link that we click to reorganize our journals?? I forgot where and how to do that. Like put in images, change the background colors and text, etc etc. I plan on making a new journal layout and hopefully a brand new spanking avatar. This guy has done me well, but I think it's time to get a new start, especially with the new year.
